Typically Hosted Service is an option to owning your own phone system.  Hosted service means that a customer does not have premise equipment other than the phones on their desk.  This "cloud" service is provided via a monthly fee and hosted by a local provider.  For this fee the customer gets phones with a few features and voice mail services.

Hosted-ly Unhappy - Why?

At Nova Communications we receive calls from people who are not satisfied with their hosted services. Many customers have switched back to a system that is onsite that they can have the power to administer because the turn around time for service is too slow. The quality of service from a company that is not building relationships with you as a customer can mean less personal treatment by a complete stranger.
